Installation Tips
Simple to Install
Just do it yourself!
With revolutionary ThermoTile™, electric radiant floor heating is so simple-to-install, you can do it yourself*!
Whether you'd like to enjoy radiant floor heating in your kitchen, bathrooms, family room or anywhere else, simply plan your installation and take these 4 simple steps....
1. On the room's subfloor, layout ThermoTile.
Its flat, ultra-thin electric cable is factory-mounted on a heavy duty fiberglass mesh designed to lay flat for quick installation. You can easily cut & turn the mesh to fit the floor space or to go around obstacles. (See example below). If you plan to use a thermostat to control your floor heating, be sure to place the sensor between the heating wires before laying the floor. Each ThermoTile radiant floor heating mat has 10' lead wires coming from one end of the mat which need to be connected to the thermostat. So, whether the floor heating mat is 5' or 80' long, there is no need to worry about where the mat ends.

2. Spread thinset mortar over the ThermoTile floor warming system or pour self-leveling cement.
3. Lay the floor tile & apply grout. Follow normal tile & grout instructions.
4. Make electrical connections
Combine and electrically connect to the thermostat in parallel more than one mat to cover your total square foot floor space. Although simple to do, an electrican is required by the NEC and UL.
Complete simple-to-follow installation instructions come with each ThermoTile floor heating system order.
